Since I was a child, I always had the keen ability to weave emotions and sensory detail into stories. I began writing every day in fourth grade as a distraction after I completed assignments. I would write 2-3 pages a day, every day, up until my senior year of high school when desks were no longer a daily occurence.
I started out as a Science Fiction writer in 2012, creating stories about alien worlds and cultures. My first book, Specter, was about a father and son who traveled the galaxy with a team of young yet aspirational crewmates. The premise was interesting, but I hadn’t found my voice yet.
I shifted into fantasy in 2023 with the first rough drafts of Bjornborn. This book is noticeably different, with deeper emotional connections, sensory writing, and food descriptors that would make your mouth water. Bjornborn appeared after significant changes in my life caused me to rethink what a story could be.
Since then, I’ve been writing Bjornborn. I enjoy the process of writing, and of teaching others how to find their inner voices.
